Sonny's  September 20, 2009

Thanks to everyone that came out today for the ride to Sonny’s BBQ in Bushnell. We had nine bikes and twelve people. It was a really beautiful day for riding and John even got to break in his new ’10 FLHTK Electra Glide Ultra Limited. Congrats on the new bike John, I hope it servers you well. Thanks to Ed Kozlowski for riding sweep and doing a good job of keeping everyone heading in the right direction.

Even though Sonny’s doesn’t take reservations, they got us right in and kept us together as a group. The manager had suggested we try to arrive by 11:30 to beat the Sunday lunch crowd. She was right because the place was packed within 30 minutes after we arrived.

The ride back was going great until we ran thru some light rain. It didn’t rain enough to get you wet but it did help smear the lovebug juice around on my windshield. Now I just have to wash off the other couple hundred that are still on there. The was one question that didn’t get answered today: why do runners that have a multi-million dollar running path next to the road insist on running in the road?  I guess it will take some more riding to try and figure that one out.                             Rick.
