It was about
3:45 on Sunday afternoon when we all started to gather around
Fletchers waiting for Steve Hinkley to take us on his second
official ride as road captain. Steve was going to take us on a
great journey to Land O' Lakes for some thing that we just can't
seem to get enough of lately, barbeque ribs and chicken.
Steve took this pork and
chicken loving group of 10 bikes and 14 people on a great
little ride on some familiar roads that we all seemed to enjoy. We
hit a little detour on the way but that didn't seem to throw Steve
off the track, he took us up and around the detour and got us right
back on to our destination.
Mike Riker brought along a
friend of his from church by the name of Sally. She seemed like a
really nice sweet innocent lady. ( I hope we didn't scare her to
much!!!!!!) When we got to Harry's they gave us a room in a separate
building that we had all to ourselves which was good because then we
didn't have to worry about how much noise we made ( not that that
has ever worried us before!! ) The food was really good and the
waitress was able to give us all the attention we needed being we
were the only people she had to take care of. ( you now how some of
us can be !! )
The temperature was really
comfortable on the ride over , you only needed a sweat shirt but on
the way home we all put on our leathers . The night air was cool and
crisp, perfect for riding home !! I was sorry that I forgot my
chaps, but being the tough girl I am, I roughed it and made it home
without frostbite on my legs.
All in all the night
turned our great ! We had all the things you need to make a ride a
success,
a great ride ,
great food, and most important and my favorite, great friends
!!!!!!!!!
Thanks Steve for a good
night and ride !!!!
