On Sunday April 13th, Diana Hinkley attempted to lead a small group of optimistic riders to Pipes and Pizza.

This was to be a merry cruise over the Skyway Bridge, and onward to the destination. Alas, it was not to be.

The sky did not look good at departure time, so most everyone put on their rain gear. My theory was that with the rain gear on it would not rain. That theory was dis-proved. It started to sprinkle as we were pulling out of Fletchers! Surely we'll ride out of it I thought. Wrong again! As we proceeded south on 49th street, it rained harder. Making the choice to cross the Skyway in a wind and rain storm did not seem like a great idea. Various ideas were proposed at each red light until we all agreed that breakfast at Skyway Jacks was a reasonable alternative. To our delight, it was not crowded, and we did not have to wait long for a table. Breakfast never tasted so good. I guess that's what Diana gets for leading a ride on the 13th!

This one will have to be a do over. A group of us headed over to the Rehab. center to visit Al Clarke.

That made the day for me. It was a joy to bring some sunshine to Al as he has done for so many others. He is fighting hard to get well so he can get back to enjoying life and riding with us. Godspeed Al!
