012008 Ride in the Country

                         While most of you guy's where home snuggled up in your nice warm beds, a small group of 6 bikes and 9, I'm not going to let a little cold weather stop me from riding, bikers set out for an early morning ride in the country with Scott and Garnett Tillesen. When we left Fletcher's it was a chilly 44 degrees out. I figure with the wind chill and that beautiful breeze we got while we rode at about 60 mph and from the icicles hanging from every ones noses, it was I would guess about O DEGREES OUT THERE !!!! I thought I was going to be dressed to warm for the ride because I was wearing two long sleeve shirts, a sweat shirt, my leather jacket, my wool skull cap, my helmet, panty hose, long socks and of cause my chaps and gloves.   WRONG !!!!!!!!!   I should have worn 3 pairs of socks . 3 shirts and double everything else. As we rode we noticed that the line of bikes got shorter and shorter .

                       We made a nice long warm up stop at 7 eleven a had some nice hot chocolate and some chit chat while we thawed out. We talked it over and took a short cut to our destination Mugoo's Diner in Hudson. When we got there we had 4 bikes and 5 frozen bikers. We warmed up quickly as they filled our cups up with some hot coffee as we decide what e wanted for breakfast. The food was very good and the price was even better.

                      After we ate it was time to head back in the direction of home. It had warmed up to a hot blistering 54 decrees out while we were eating. We all stayed together on the ride back. Scott and Garnett stayed with us as far as their turn off for home and My husband, Charlie Nolan and I headed back to Fletcher for a quick look around and then headed home.



                    All in all it turned out to be a very nice day with some good friends !!

           We rode, we ate, we talked and we laughed, we had all the things you need to have a great ride !!!!
